This pistol from Anton Vinzent Lebeda of Prague circa 1880 has an etched Damascus barrel with eight-groove rifling, a dovetailed blade front sight, "A. V. LEBEDA IN PRAG" marked on top, and the matching serial number on the bottom. The standing breech has an adjustable notch rear sight. The barrel is released by pulling the front of the trigger guard back. The spurred trigger guard encloses a single set trigger and has a coronet and coat of arms in relief with a gilt background, and coordinating coronet is on the case lid. The back action lock, frame and furniture has scroll and border engraving and gold inlays. The underside of the action has "LEBEDA/PATENT." The ornate pommel has a fancy stud. The case comes with a suite of loading and maintenance equipment and a case for cartridges with Lebeda label inside (casings not included).

Rating Definition:

Exceptionally fine overall with 85% plus original finish overall, bright original gold, crisp Damascus patterns, crisp checkering and engraving, and some age and storage related wear mainly in the form of some dings and light scratches on the wood. Mechanically excellent. The case and accessories are all very fine.
