Casehardened engraved patent breeches each with pierced platinum plug and short inlaid platinum line. Casehardened scroll engraved standing breech and locks, the latter each signed “WESTLEY RICHARDS” and with safety catches. Blued engraved ramrod entry pipe and trigger guard, casehardened trigger plate. Well-figured walnut stock with checkered butt and dark horn forearm cap, the blank German silver initial escutcheon and barrel key escutcheons. Birmingham proof marks.

Fine. The barrels retain much of the faded older rebrowned finish and have a clear signature. The standing breech and locks retain 60% fading original casehardened finish and crisp engraving. The trigger guard and ramrod entry pipe retain 90% original deep blue finish. The stock has pleasing figure patterns, well-defined checkering, and scattered age related storage and handling blemishes and marks. Mechanically excellent.
