Manufactured 1954-1956. Fewer than 2,500 Marshals were made. Blade front and frame notch rear sights, model and caliber marking on left side of barrel, two-line Hartford address on the right, matching numbers on frame and crane, and "136" marked on the inside of each of the checkered walnut grips with silver Colt medallions. The included factory letter confirms the current configuration (grips not listed) as well as shipment to Bob Smith Sporting Goods Company in Boston, Massachusetts on 9 June 1955. The letter goes on to state that the Colt shipping records indicate that the Marshal revolvers bore an "M" suffix, which is present on the frame of this example, though not on the same line and thus not listed as part of the official serial number.

Excellent, retains 97% plus of the original blue finish with some light edge wear, some scattered light handling marks, and a light cylinder drag line. The grips are also excellent with a few scattered light handling marks and otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
