Manufactured in 1945, this pistol shows the typical markings of having been supplied to the British military through the Lend-Lease program during World War II. The left side of the slide has the standard two-line, two-block patent dates and address separated by the Rampant Colt, a "P" proof on top, a British proof and "NOT ENGLISH MAKE" behind the ejection port, and a British government release date of 1952 on the right. The frame has the standard markings on the right along with British proofs and "NOT ENGLISH MAKE". The blued barrel is marked "7" on the bottom, "P" and "0" in a diamond on the lug, and has British proofs on the chamber hood. It is fitted with blade and notch sights, reinforced checkered grips, and an unmarked full blue magazine. Includes a "US" leather shoulder holster marked "U.S./ENGER-KRESS" on the back. Provenance: The Mel Raucher Collection

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retains 98% plus of the original parkerized finish with a few scattered light handling marks and some very light edge wear. The grips are also excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The holster is very fine with some light wear.
