Manufactured from 1979 to 1999 and marketed to law enforcement and foreign military clients, the AC-556 family of weapons is the Mini-14 .223 caliber rifle configured as a factory original selective fire machine gun. Fitted with a birdcage flash hider, blade and adjustable peep sights and standard receiver markings. The selector switch is positioned on the right rear of the receiver, with positions for semi-automatic, three round burst, and full automatic. "BVPD/AR II" is stamped on the left side of the receiver, with "BVPD" (Belleville, Michigan Police Department) stamped into the comb of the smooth hardwood stock and "2" painted on the grip; a similarly marked AC-556 numbered "I" can be seen elsewhere in this sale (Lot 362). With a matching hand-numbered factory box and two Ruger Law Enforcement Products brochures (1980 and 1982).

Excellent, with 95% of the original blue finish, showing some light wear and handling marks overall. The stock is very fine, with some light dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
