Manufactured during World War II for the commercial market. Fixed sights with the left side of the slide marked with the Walther banner, two-line address/patent/caliber markings and "Mod PP", and "eagle/N" proofs on the muzzle, chamber hood and slide. A proper matching number is hand-scribed inside the slide, which has no provision for a loaded chamber indicator; originally a special feature, the indicator was very popular, and most commercial PP and PPK pistols are factory equipped with one. With a ring hammer, 90 degree safety, checkered grips and a flat magazine base. The "wood grain" box is matching to the pistol, with a numbered label and "Ohne/Signalstift" (without chamber indicator) label on the lid, containing a barrel rod and a "WALTHER" banner equipment tin with oil bottle.

Excellent, with 98% bright original high polish blue finish, showing some minor edge wear and handling marks overall. The grips are also excellent, with a few light scuffs and dings. The box is very good, with wear and tear concentrated along the edges, a few areas of tape reinforcement, and the internal divider loose but present. Mechanically excellent.
