Likely made around the 1970s by legendary Texas saddle maker, Billy Royal. The handmade "BILLY ROYAL/HAND MADE IN TEXAS" stamp is found on the lowest portion of each of the fenders, just below the hobble straps. The leather shows extensive intricate floral scroll tooling throughout which is accented with silver or German silver plates and conchos, all of which are finely engraved with floral scroll. The edges of the skirt and the rear edge of the cantle are woven with spiraling stainless steel band. The seat measures approximately 14 3/4 inches. All of the including tack and the bit are similarly accented with matching plates and conchos.

Very fine overall, generally showing some mild wear typical of use, giving it an attractively aged appearance overall. There is a minor tear in the right from of one of the skirt flaps. The silver shows generally an attractively aged appearance overall. A fine example of a desirable, vintage, Texas made saddle!
