Description:

Manufactured in 1904 with standard markings including the relatively rare "41 COLT" caliber marking on the left of the barrel. Only 16,402 were manufactured in this caliber compared to 150,683 in .45 Colt and 64,389 in .44-40 Winchester. Matching serial numbers are on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap, and the loading gate has the assembly number "5021". The included factory letter confirms the current configuration (grips not listed) as well as shipment to Witte Hardware Co. in St. Louis on 14 October 1904.

Rating Definition:

Very good, retains 30% of the original blue finish and faint traces of the original case colors in sheltered areas with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina with some scattered patches of light surface pitting. The replacement grips are fine with a few scattered minor scuffs and blemishes, and otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
