Description:

Lambert Ghaye was active in Liege in the 1850s to early 1870s. This revolver has a brass post front sight, "COLT/PATENT" on the top of the barrel at the breech, "crown/PP" stamps on the barrel, frame, and cylinder; "LG" stamps on the barrel and cylinder at the breech, Liege proofmarks, matching serial numbers on the barrel, frame, and trigger guard; "13" on the cylinder along with an Indian fight scene and "COLTS PATENT," "98" on the back strap, and a smooth grip. The overall design is fairly similar to the Model 1851 Navy but with some aspects simplified and a different style of rifling.

Rating Definition:

Fine. 50% plus of the original blue finish remains on the barrel and cylinder. The loading lever retains 25% plus of the fading original case colors, the hammer retains 50%, and the frame retains traces. The balance displays a gray-brown patina. The grip frame has silver plating under the grip, but the visible surfaces display aged patina. The butt has removable "8B" inventory labels. It is mechanically fine.
