Manufactured in 1883, this revolver has been totally professionally restored. The accompanying factory letter confirms the serial number, caliber, blue finish with the barrel length and stocks "Not Listed" (although it further states, "However, this is an indication of a 7 1/2 inch barrel length as this was considered standard issue for that time period.") and that it was shipped as 1 of 50 to Hartley & Graham, New York, N.Y. on January 8, 1883. The top of the barrel is marked with the one-line address, the left side is marked "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER ." in a matte gray panel, the bottom is marked with a small "44" and the left side of the frame is marked with the three-line, three-date marking. The complete matching serial number is marked on the frame, trigger guard and back strap and the partial serial number "9068" is marked on the barrel and cylinder. Blade front and frame notch rear sights, "bull's eye" ejector rod head, blue, barrel, cylinder and grip frame, casehardened frame and hammer and fire blue screws. Fitted with smooth varnished one piece walnut grips.

Very good as completely restored with almost all of the blue finish remaining with thinning on the trigger guard. There is some minor edge wear and a few minor dings on the cylinder. The frame retains most of the bright case colors with some graying out and discoloration. The grips retain 98% varnish with a couple of minor dings and dents and a very small chip on the right toe. The markings are clear and crisp. Mechanically fine.
