Description:

Measuring 37 inches overall, with a 26 inch blade showing a wavy hamon and very active grain fitted into a copper habaki. The round iron tsuba is lightly sculpted with one copper accent piece on tip, with lightly engraved darkened brass fuchi and kashira, dark cord wrap over dragon themed menuki, and a leather covered saya with traces of a cloth label with black ink handwriting. The tang features one mekugi-ana with no visible signature.

Rating Definition:

Fine overall. Patches of spotting are present on the otherwise very fine blade, concentrated on the right side, some separations forming in the grain, an overall bright appearance, and strong hamon. The tsuba has turned a deep brown patina with pitting on much of the surface, with mild staining and wear on the hilt and scuffs and tears of the leather cover on the saya.
