Blued cylinder and frame, the latter signed “KERR’S PATENT 11,305” on the right side. Casehardened back action lock stamped “LONDON ARMOURY”. Checkered walnut grip, blued trigger guard and butt cap with lanyard loop. London proof marks. In fitted oak case lined in green baize with some accessories including oiler, brass mounted lacquered copper Dixon & Sons powder flask, a japanned tin for Eley Bros. bullets, another japanned tin for Eley Bros. percussion caps, a Kerr-type combination tool (possibly a very well made reproduction) and a 54 bore double cavity brass bullet mold.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. This revolver is in remarkable condition, verging on unfired, and retains 95% bright original high polished blue and casehardened finish with age related flaking to the trigger guard and butt cap. The grip has well-defined checkering and very little signs of any wear. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine. The lid lining has been replaced, and the wear patterns to the remaining lining appear older suggesting it is possibly the original material. The accessories are all very fine. One will look a long time to acquire a finer example!
