The left side of the trigger guard bow, crane, cylinder latch, and rear face of the cylinder are all stamped with the navy trident. It is fitted with a pair of checkered hard rubber grips with "COLT" in ovals at the top and each hand marked with the matching assembly number "194" inside. Includes a 1909 dated Rock Island Arsenal "US" leather holster. Provenance: The Mel Raucher Collection
Very fine, retains 80% plus of the original blue finish and 90% plus of the original nitre blue with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina, most noticeably on the grip straps, muzzle, and edges. The grips are excellent with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The modified holster is good with a hole drilled in the back of the belt loop, some mild wear, and a replacement piece in the muzzle end.
