Standard markings on the left side of the frame and slide. The right side of the frame is marked "PROPERTY OF/U.S." with the stamped crossed cannon inspection mark underneath. The top of the barrel is marked "PROPERTY OF U.S." It is fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with "H S" in the center. Provenance: The Mel Raucher Collection
Very god, retains 85% of the period refinished blue finish with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina, primarily on the grip straps and barrel, with a few scattered patches of very light surface pitting on the barrel. The grips are very fine with a few scattered minor blemishes in the otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
