Receiver manufactured in Germany and subsequently upgraded by Mckinley Verne Highsmith of Memphis, Tennessee. The barrel is fitted with ramped beaded blade front and express rear sights, as well as having a scope base mounted to the chamber. The barrel is marked "M. HIGHSMITH MAKER, MEMPHIS, TENN. The action has a matted flat on the front ring and integral scope base on the bridge, and double set triggers. It is topped off with a Zeiss Diavari-Z 1.5-6x42 scope. Mounted in a wonderfully figured multi-point checkered walnut stock with rosewood forend cap, blued steel grip cap, and red solid rubber recoil pad.
Very fine overall as upgraded by Mckinley Highsmith, retaining 90% blue finish with limited handling marks, muzzle wear, and traces of a previous caliber marking above the serial number. The triggerguard and floorplate assembly and floorplate are a mix of blue and gray patinas Stock is very fine with scattered dings and scratches, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Scope is excellent with clear optics and a crisp reticle.
