This revolver is a fully functioning Colt Single Action Army revolver that has been cut to expose the mechanics of Colt's legendary design. This revolver is an excellent display piece and is very educational. It is definitely much more interesting to look at the mechanical details on a functioning, three dimensional firearm than a flat schematic. Very few of these have been made over the years even though Samuel Colt himself had cutaways made of some of his percussion models to show off his company's designs and instruct members of the Ordnance Department and military. This example has all the standard recent Third Generation makings and features. Consecutively numbered with the next lot. Includes the original shipping box and Colt blue box.

Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original nickel finish with limited handling evidence. The boxes are very fine/excellent. Mechanically functions as demonstration piece.
