The included factory letter lists this revolver as having a 7 1/2 inch barrel chambered in .45 Colt with full royal blue finish and gold screws, confirms the grip material as well as scrimshaw bust of Wild Bill Hickok on the right and the Dead Man's Hand on the left, class "C" scroll engraving including the front sight, gold bands at the muzzle and rear of the barrel which extend onto the ejector housing, gold inlaid bands at the rear of the cylinder, "Wild Bill Hickok" inscription on the back strap, gold inlaid card suits, and "1876" inscribed on the butt executed by Colt Master Engraver Steve Kamyk. The factory letter also confirms this revolver was produced as a donation to benefit The Days of '76 Historic Museum and was auctioned at the City of Deadwood Fourth Annual Firearms & Old West Auction & Show on June 19, 2011.
