Description:

Fine adjustable blade front and tangent rear sights, "1917" date on the chamber and "DWM" monogram on the toggle link. Three "crown/ letter" proofs are present on the right side of the barrel extension, with Imperial Eagle firing proofs on the extension, barrel and breechblock. Matching partial numbers are present on the sight components, latch, sear, safety, side plate, trigger, hold-open, toggle links, extractor, breechblock and firing pin. Proper "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" markings on the upper safety position and extractor respectively. Checkered walnut grips and nickel magazine with wooden base. A large "9" has been branded into each grip panel, in the style of the "red nine" Broomhandle, and the front strap is unit marked "101.R.10.9."

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 80% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina, bright edge wear, and mild spotting and handling marks. The grips are fine as mixed numbered period replacements, with some mild stains and dings overall and good detail in the branding. Mechanically excellent.
