This revolver was manufactured in 1855 at the London factory and has London proof and view marks on the barrel and cylinder, the "-ADDRESS COL. COLT LONDON.-" barrel address, round head screws, an iron grip frame, a cone front sight, standard naval battle cylinder scene, standard patent markings, and all matching serial numbers. It comes in a fitted oak case with light green baize lining, a Colt London trade label, cleaning rod, L-shaped combination tool, oiler, Eley Bros. cap tin, reproduction James Dixon & Sons Colt Navy flask, and bullet mould.
Fine with 50% original blue finish on the barrel, mottled gray and brown patina on the cylinder, mostly smooth gray patina and some mild pitting on the grip frame, 75% original case colors, and mild dings and scratches. The period revarnished grip is fine with most of the varnish remaining, a few dents, small chips at the toe, and light edge wear. Mechanically fine. The case and accessories are good with moderate age and storage related wear and a loose hinge/sprue cutter screw on the mold.
