Manufactured in 1956/57. The rear cylinder face has a S&W factory rework star. The grip frame has a S&W factory November 1978 ("11 78") return date and a S&W factory "R-N" refinish mark. Includes a S&W .44 Magnum case, knurled screwdriver, and cleaning rod with mop. This revolver was previously from the collection of famed country singer and song writer Hank Williams, Jr. and includes a letter of authenticity confirming his past ownership. Very fine, retaining 98% plus of the factory reapplied nickel finish with a cylinder drag line and flash marks on the front cylinder face. The grips are also very fine with minimal handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with minor handling/storage marks and some worn lining.
