The included copy of the factory letter confirms the original .45-90 octagon barrel and plain trigger when it was received at the warehouse March 5, 1888 and shipped on April 13 of the same year. Standard sporting sights on the blued barrel, and blued full length magazine. Casehardened receiver, lever, hammer, and forend cap. Smooth forend and nicely figured straight grip stock. Fully restored to factory specifications by Turnbull manufacturing, including a new barrel, forend, and stock. Provenance: The Wayne Connor Collection
Very fine as professionally restored overall. 99% blue and casehardened finishes with limited handling evidence. Mechanically excellent.
