Manufactured in 1875, the standard Colt two-line address on top of the barrel flanked by Maltese crosses and the desirable "COLT NEW 30" etched panel on the left. The caliber marking is on the upper right side of the frame. The full serial number is marked on the butt, bottom of the barrel, rear face of the cylinder, and in pencil on the inside of the right grip. It is fitted with smooth rosewood grips. Provenance: The Don and Carol Wilkerson Collection
Very fine, retains 70% of the original blue finish and 75% plus of the vibrant original case colors with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina. The grips are excellent with some scattered light handling marks and retaining most of the varnish. The cylinder does not rotate when the hammer is cocked, otherwise mechanically fine.
