Manufactured in 1871, the top of the scarce long barrel with ejector is marked with the standard Colt two-line address flanked by Maltese crosses. The serial number is marked on the butt, with the matching serial number "773" on the bottom of the barrel and faintly marked inside each of the grips. Includes a scarce factory box marked for "COLT'S/SEVEN SHOT PISTOL" and an informational plaque. Provenance: The Don and Carol Wilkerson Collection
Excellent, retains 97% plus of the original nickel finish and 90% of the original nitre blue with a few scattered small pinprick type flakes on the barrel, and some light flaking at the edges of the side plate. The grips are also excellent with a few scattered light dings. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with some mild wear, primarily on edges, and some mild fading.
