Fine adjustable slightly modified blade front and later pattern tangent rear sights, with the chamber dated "1918" and the toggle marked "DWM". The right side of the barrel extension bears the three "crown/gothic letter" proofs, with the Imperial eagle firing proof on the extension, barrel and breechblock. Visible numbers are matching, including on the rear sight components and on the wood base of the nickel finished magazine. The grip panels are not factory numbered, but show some hand-scratched markings and an "EWB" stamp on the inside of the left panel, in the style of the Bavarian "Einwohnerwehr", a right-wing paramilitary organization active in the early Weimar era. Shut down in 1921, many of its members would join other organizations, which in turn would be rolled up into the National Socialist German Worker's Party, including men like Ernst Roehm.
Very fine, with 80% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, bright edge wear and mild handling marks. 50% of the straw colors are present, with a strong niter blue on the sear spring. The grips are fine, with some smoothing of the checkering on the right rear panel, minor dings and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
