The top of the barrel extension is marked with the standard two-line address, patent date, and caliber marking, while the left of the frame has the Savage trademark. It is fitted with the standard blade and notch sights, grip safety, and checkered hard rubber grips with Savage logos. The included factory letter states that the pistol was accepted from the factory and shipped to Kirkland Brothers & Co. in New York on 22 June 1915. Also includes a scarce Savage factory box that is correctly labeled to the gun. Provenance: The Bailey Brower, Jr. Collection, author of “Savage Pistols”

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retains 98% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish and 97% vibrant case colors on the trigger with some scattered light handling marks and very light edge wear. The grips are also excellent with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is good with some moderate wear, tape repairs, and small tears.
