Description:

Manufactured in 1913, this Savage Model 1907 was special ordered with a full nickel plated finish and pearl grips. The top of the slide is marked with the standard address, patent date, and caliber markings. It is fitted with blade front and notch rear sights, and a pair of smooth pearl grips. The included factory letter lists shipment to Iver Johnson Sporting Goods Co. on 21 September 1913, as well as indicating that the pistol was shipped with nickel plating and pearl grips. Includes a custom modern hardwood case. Provenance: The Bailey Brower, Jr. Collection, author of “Savage Pistols”

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original nickel plating with some scattered patches of minor bubbling/flaking and otherwise minimal handling evidence. The documented original factory pearl grips are excellent with a few scattered light scratches. The magazine is not retained when inserted (likely the magazine release), otherwise mechanically excellent. The case is excellent with only the slightest handling/storage wear.
