Manufactured 1876, the top of the barrel marked with the standard two-line Colt address, patent marking on the bottom, and the left of the barrel with the desirable etched panel marked "COLT NEW 22". The left of the frame has the caliber marking and the serial number is marked on the butt, with "6190" on the bottom of the barrel and rear face of the cylinder. It is fitted with a pair of smooth rosewood grips with the full serial number marked inside the right panel in pencil. Includes a scarce factory Colt box marked for "COLT'S/New Seven Shot Revolver" and a plain modern box labeled to the gun. Provenance: The Don and Carol Wilkerson Collection
Excellent, retains 97% plus of the original nickel finish with some scattered patching of light flaking, most noticeably near the muzzle and on the frame in front of the cylinder, and the etched panel mostly crisp. The grips are also excellent with a few scattered light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with blued cleaning rod, some mild wear, primarily on edges and corners, and outstanding picture label.
