Description:

This grouping includes two similarly embellished Caucasian style qama daggers, also commonly referred to as "Cossack" daggers, due to the famous horsemen regularly carrying them. Both of these examples have extensive engraving and silver inlays on both the hilts and scabbards, mostly featuring floral motifs. Both of the blades have the typical offset fullers on both sides. One measures 18 1/4 inches overall and the other measures 18 5/8 inches overall. Provenance: The Dr. Gerald Klaz Collection

Rating Definition:

Both are fine overall, the blades mostly bright with some scattered patches of light pitting and the silver plating generally showing an attractively aged patina with generally mild wear.
