Description:

Manufactured in 1942 during the German Occupation of Czechoslovakia for issue to the German Gebirgsjaeger mountain troopers. Hooded blade front and tangent rear sights, with "eagle/63" and "eagle/swastika" markings on the "dot/1942" marked receiver. Matching serial numbers visible on the receiver, bolt handle and stock.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retains 70% original blue finish with smooth brown patina on the balance, numerous small dings on either side of the barrel, and scattered light pitting on the buttplate indicative of use in snow. Stock is fine with scattered scratches and handling marks, and a large chip visible on the right of the pistol grip. Mechanically excellent.
