This is an excellent example of a DWM Model 1900 Swiss military contract Luger of which an estimated 3,000 military contract pistols were manufactured in the 2,000-5,000 serial number range. These have the early dished toggles with toggle lock, flat/recessed breech bolt, no stock lug, grip safety, flat mainsprings, and fast taper barrel that is 4 3/4 inches long. This pistol has the standard Swiss Cross in Sunburst over the chamber, and "DWM" scroll on the front toggle. The left side of the barrel extension has the standard Swiss Military Cross and Swiss control proof. It still retains the original fixed blade front sight and "V" notch rear sight. It is fitted with checkered walnut grips stamped with the partial serial number (72) stamped on the back of each grip. This Luger comes with one original unmarked Swiss nickel plated wood bottom magazine

Excellent with 98% of the original blue finish overall, with 97% of the straw colors overall. The walnut grips are also excellent with nice distinct sharp checking on both sides. Mechanically excellent. An exceptional high condition Swiss Military Contract Luger.
