The original iron sights are properly absent as standard on these sniper variants, with a Remington "2-44" dated barrel, "R" marked bolt with properly turned and contoured handle, and the properly offset manufacturer, model and serial number markings on the receiver ring. Smooth pistol grip stock, "RA" (Remington Arms) and "FJA" (Frank J. Atwood) inspection stamps surrounding a crossed cannons cartouche on the left wrist, boxed "RIA/EB" (Rock Island Arsenal/Elmer Bjerke) rebuild cartouche on the left of the buttstock, with a checkered blue steel buttplate. Fitted with a Weaver 330 scope with M8 marking. Includes a "1908" dated Springfield Armory M1905 bayonet, "1908" dated Rock Island Arsenal leather scabbard, "1944" dated MILSCO M1907 leather sling, leather scope lens covers, and oiler in butt compartment.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, retains 98% plus parkerized and blue finishes with a few small spots of minor surface corrosion on the right of the front barrel band and floorplate. Stock is also very fine as re-oiled, with defined edges, a few light handling marks, and crisp arsenal/inspection stampings. Mechanically excellent. Included scope is excellent, retains 90% original blue finish with scattered light scratches and handling marks and crisp/clear optics. Included bayonet and scabbard are both fine.
