Receiver manufactured in 1956. Blued barrel with ramped beaded blade front sight, matted rear quarter rib holding two folding sight leaf sights with gold center lines, "REBARRELED BY GRIFFIN & HOWE INC. NEW YORK" on the top, and "CAL. .416" (very likely .416 Rigby) to the left of the chamber. The blued action shows the Winchester markings, serial number, and "WP" proof as well as holding a pair of quick detach scope mounts hosting a Leupold Vari-X III 1.5-5x scope. The floorplate is marked "SUPER GRADE". Nicely figured, modified multi-point checkered pistol grip stock with ebony tip, blued steel grip cap, sling studs, and a Winchester red rubber recoil pad. Includes a leather sling.
Very fine, retaining 85% custom blue finish with some oxidation on the top of the barrel, oil staining on the trigger guard, some thinning in the blue, and light handling evidence. The wood is also very fine and has turned down slightly towards the tip, otherwise scattered dings and scratches and sharp checkering. Scope optics are clear. Mechanically excellent.
