Description:

1) Puma officer's sword, 36 1/2 inches overall, 32 inch blade marked "No3" on the right side, yellow anodized aluminum hilt with dove head pommel and oak leaf motifs, wire wrapped celluloid grip, and a black enamel finished scabbard. An attached note attributes the sword as having been taken as a war trophy in Munich by a Corporal Wilmer Leatherman of the 601st Anti-Aircraft Battalion. Records on Leatherman and the 601st are scarce, but he may have been a resident of Pennsylvania. 2) WKC Heer dagger, 14 5/8 inches overall, 9 7/8 inch blade, darkened fittings, orange celluloid grip and a silver portepee.
