Manufactured circa 1875. Blued Damascus steel barrels with a single steel bead sight on the smooth concave solid rib which is marked "W.W. GREENER. St. MARY'S WORKS BIRMINGHAM", correct period Birmingham proofs, and 2 7/8 inch chambers with single extractor. The casehardened non-rebounding hammer action displays light line and scroll engraving and features double triggers. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend with wedge fastener and round knob pistol grip stock with blank inscription oval and smooth steel buttplate. Very fine, retaining 40% of the original browning with some spotting and strong Damascus pattern, much of the blue on the trigger guard, buttplate and top lever, 50% case colors on the action, light handling evidence overall, a plug repair in the pistol grip, and sharp checkering on the wood. Mechanically excellent.
