Description:

This classic Americana Western bronze shows a colt getting water from a bucket that is resting beneath a water pump. The colt is standing with all four feet on the ground and his head bowed to fetch some water to quench its thirst. The pump is a 19/20th century outdoor style. The bronze is signed Shrady (Herman Merwin Shrady AM 1871-1921) on the pump and the colt. The pump are not attached to each other. The colt measures 46x16x39 inches. The water pump measures 35x14x37. Both parts weigh 120 lbs. One could turn the water pump into a fountain as it is equipped for water hose attachments.

Rating Definition:

Very good with some storage and handling marks and an attractive patina. This would make the perfect addition to any farm or ranch.
