Hammerli factory letter noting approximately 100 of these were manufactured circa 1948 in a specific “FK” serial number prefix, numbered 1-100. Produced with Hammerli match grade Commercial rifle actions with standard weight Hammerli barrels (unfinished leftover military actions obtained from W+F Bern), akin to our U.S. Model 1903 National Match rifles. Probably intended for 300 Meter European International rifle matches. Receiver is marked “Hammerli/Lenzburg-Schweiz” with the serial number “FK043" on the left side and the side cocking handle/bolt. Special International Stutzer target rear sight, fully adjustable for windage and elevation, (with NO traditional barrel tangent sight) with an eight position eye-piece. Barrel fitted with a Hammerli/Anschutz type globe front sight. Since they were produced by the Hammerli factory on a very special order basis they were undoubtedly all hand built and assembled using the finest actions and match grade barrels. Fitted with a beautifully figured European walnut stock and matching (full length) hand guard with barrel band sling swivel and sling bar. It has an all blued metal finish with a non-reflective finish on the receiver with the complete bolt assembly left in the white from the factory.

Excellent plus with 99% of the original factory blued metal finish, showing no evidence of having been fired with the breech face still in the white. The stock and handguard are both excellent with most of the original factory varnish overall showing some minor handling marks from storage with a slightly heavier pressure mark on the lower right side below the sling swivel bar. Mechanically excellent. A rare rifle in excellent condition, perfect for match rifle shooting!
