Manufactured on contract for the Luftwaffe, these Krieghoff Lugers show commercial-grade quality of the fit and finish on the various parts. Fixed sights, with the chamber area dated "1940", and the C-2 style Krieghoff toggle marking. A set of military "eagle" and "eagle/2" proofs are present, along with "eagle/N" proofs on the barrel and right frame rail. Matching numbers present on the barrel, extension, frame, sideplate, trigger, safety, toggle pin, toggle links, breechblock and firing pin. Fitted with straw finished small parts, niter blue pins and springs, checkered grips with smooth borders, and a blue finished magazine with unmarked alloy base.

Fine, with 60% original blue on the frame, with bright edge wear, areas of brown patina, and mild handling marks overall. The barrel and extension show some "cold blue" over patches of pitting concentrated on the left side, and the lower edge of the sideplate has been polished and touched up. Traces of straw color are present on the small parts, with strong niter blue remaining on the magazine catch and sear spring. Grips are sharply checkered, with a few light dings. Mechanically excellent.
