Description:

Originally manufactured by Thompson Ramo Woolridge (TRW) on a US military contract, this battle rifle was subjected to deactivation via a band saw cut through the raceway, which was later repaired via welding. The successor to the M1 Garand, the M14 holds the dual distinctions of being one of the shortest-lived general infantry weapons in the American arsenal while also being an evergreen weapon in specialist roles; phased out in favor of the M16 for general use in the late 1960s/early 1970s, M14 variants still serve with American forces. Blade front and peep rear sights, with a "NM" and "SAK" marked barrel, "TRW" marked receiver heel, synthetic upper handguard and hardwood stock with green canvas sling and steel buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fine as remanufactured/rewelded, with 90% of the matte gray parkerized finish, showing mild handling marks and edge wear overall. The stock is very fine, with mild scuffs and dings. An M1 pattern sear is installed in the trigger housing; as currently configured, the rifle only runs in semi-automatic. Otherwise mechanically fine. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
