The man's hunting hat and jacket are hanging from a hook on the exterior of his house next to the door. Behind him on the window sill is a crate for Remington UMC Nitro Express 12 gauge game loads being used as a flower box. A poster on the man's door contains an excerpt from an address by Senator George G. Vest titled "Tribute to a Dog". The lower right corner is signed by the artist Lynn Bogue Hunt. The advertisement is housed in a professionally mounted quarter sawn oak frame measuring 22 1/2x29 inches.
