Manufactured in 1967, this Midas Grade Superposed shotgun features two beads on the matted vent rib, choked improved modified/full, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. Floral scroll and punch dot engraving on the upper rear barrel. Floral scroll and punch dot Midas Grade relief engraved action with gold wire border game scenes on each side and a gold inlaid quail on the bottom. Signed "A. DIERCKX" on the lower rear of each side of the receiver for Master Engraved Andre Dierckx. The engraving design extends to the triggerguard, toplever and forend hardware. Gold single trigger, tang mounted safety/selector with gold "O", "S" and "U". Mounted with a high gloss extra fancy black walnut fine-line checkered stock with a white-line Browning trap style recoil pad. Matching walnut beavertail style forearm. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .724/.725 inches; choke constriction .026/.040 inches; minimum wall thickness .035/.033 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 1 9/16 inch drop at heel; 14 7/16 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs. Excellent plus, the shotgun retains 99% original blue finish with some minor forearm wear on the lower barrel and light overall handling marks. The wood is also excellent with a few minor dings and handling marks, and some crazing of the varnish, with sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
