Manufactured in 1959. Blued steel barrels with dual white bead sights on the matted vent rib, standard markings, some engraving at the breech, chokes marked "*-"/"*" (improved modified/full), and chambers marked 2 3/4 inches with automatic ejectors. The coin finished action displays the Grade IV pattern from the 1950s, showing a vixen bringing a mallard to her pups in a hollow on the left, a pair of pointers retrieving pheasants on the right, and a pair of birds on the underside and on the triggerguard. The scenes are surrounded by Germanic oak leaf relief engraving. The gun is signed "Legiers" on both sides of the action for engraver Charles Legiers. The gun features a single trigger and a tang mounted safety/selector with gold "U", "O", and "S". Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with ventilated Browning recoil pad. Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes with limited handling evidence, some very minor oil discoloration on the action, and sharp checkering on the wood. Mechanically excellent.
