Blued steel barrels with red fiber optic front and steel mid bead sights on the ventilated rib, 3 inch chambers with ejectors, and interchangeable choke tube system (improved cylinder/modified installed). The satin nickel action displays sprays of floral scroll engraving in the corners as well as surrounding game scenes of an elk on the left and a white-tailed deer on the right with a similar motif on the underside around the "412" model marking. The action is fitted with a single selective trigger and manual tang safety. Mounted in a wonderfully figured, multipoint checkered walnut forend and pistol grip Monte Carlo stock with ebony grip cap and Decelerator recoil pad. Includes Model 412 manuals, information on the 9.3x74R cartridge, and a previous listing stating the engraving was carried out by Master Engraver Ken Hurst, the stock work by Don Allen, and the gun assembled by Master Gunsmith Steven G. Torborg. Also included is a Valmet takedown case, three extra chokes (cylinder, improved modified, and full), two choke wrenches, stock tool, an extra set of 9.3x72R rifle barrels with adjustable regulation (for use with multiple loads) and ejectors, and a Leupold Vari-X III 1.5x5 scope. Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and 98% plus original stain nickel finish with a few minor handling marks, a plum coloration on the barrels at the breech, and crisp engraving. Stock is very fine with dings and scratches and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
