Manufactured c. 1813-1817. The blued barrels have Birmingham proofs and a folding bayonet is fitted to the right side of the upper barrel. The brass boxlock has floral and martial engraving, the rotating lever on the left to switch the pan between barrels, "SOUTHALL/-LONDON-" in an oval on the left, and a sliding safety. The slab sided grip has checkering down the back and around to the toe and a silver rectangular escutcheon.

Very good with 30% original blue finish, dark aged patina on the brass and silver, mottled gray patina on the balance, and minor pitting. The grip is also very good and has mild dings and scratches and crisp checkering. Mechanically fine, including the snap bayonet.
