Description:

These small pocket revolvers were a fine copy of the Smith & Wesson First Model Type 22 Revolver and production was eventually halted by a lawsuit. However, those produced were very well made and sold readily. Offered here is a First Model, Second Variation with 3-groove rifling, barrel address in an arc motif and factory scroll engraving on the side flats of the barrel at the muzzle and breech. The right grip panel, barrel and cylinder are numbered to the gun.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel retains strong traces of original blue finish in the protected areas, otherwise a smooth brown patina. The remaining surfaces retain 90% of the period reapplied nickel plating. The grips are also fine with some minor scratches. Mechanically excellent.
