Description:

These small pocket revolvers were a fine copy of the Smith & Wesson First Model Type 22 Revolver and production was eventually halted by a lawsuit. However, those produced were very well made and sold readily. Offered here is a First Model, First Variation with 6-groove rifling, unsigned barrel (correct for the first variation), and factory scroll engraving on the side flats of the barrel at the muzzle and breech. The left grip panel, barrel and cylinder are numbered to the gun.

Rating Definition:

Very good. 30% original blue finish remains on the barrel and cylinder and the frame retains traces of age darkened original silver plating in the protected areas, otherwise a mix of brown and gray patinas. The grips are also fine showing some high edge wear and some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
