These Third Model Derringers were manufactured from 1875 to 1912. The top of the barrel is marked "-COLT-" in italics, faint British proofs on the bottom of the barrel, and the caliber marking on the left of the frame. The serial number is marked on the left of the frame and faintly on the inside of each grip. It has masterfully executed floral scroll engraving which was subsequently added as it is cut through the plating. Includes a leather wrapped case with fitted interior.

Very good, retains 30% of the original silver finish with the balance having thinned to either a smooth grey or attractively aged brass with a few patches of scattered light pitting and crisp engraving overall. The grips are good with some minor handling marks scattered throughout. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with some mild wear.
