Description:

The left ricasso is marked "BEST/ENGLISH/CUTLERY" with no other visible maker's marks. It measures 10 inches overall when unfolded with a 4 1/2 inch drop point blade. The guard is German silver and cast with floral motifs and the pommel features the horse head, anchor, and wheel design. It is fitted with smooth antique ivory grip scales.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, the blade almost entirely bright with very little wear, the German silver showing an attractively aged patina, and a lifted crack through the right grip scale but otherwise light handling evidence.
