Manufactured in China in 1959, with fixed sights, three-symbol nomenclature on top of the slide, "66" factory number on the frame, and a set of ribbed grips with star imprints. The grips are properly free of "CCCP" markings seen on Soviet Union examples, and the pistol has not been retrofitted with a safety. Matching numbers are present on the frame, slide, barrel and hammer group (in electric pencil on the latter two), with the magazine numbered "8033". The included belt rig consists of an unmarked brown leather flap holster and a rubberized cloth belt with a brass Soviet Union belt buckle. This pistol was part of the collection of Toby Jason Chandler (July 31, 1934-May 25th, 2022). Chandler originally graduated from the U.S. Army Officer Candidate School at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, became commissioned as a Lieutenant of Field Artillery, was reassigned as Captain of Military Intelligence, and then began a 22-year distinguished career as a U.S. Secret Service Agent from 1959-1981. At 26 years old, he became the youngest agent assigned to the elite team directly protecting The White House. Between 1959-1965, he was assigned to the personal details of President Dwight D. Fine, with 70% of the original blue finish, showing a mixed brown and gray patina on the gripstraps, and a pattern of etching and pitting on the sides of the frame and slide suggestive of some form of fluid splatter. The grips are also fine, with some minor dings. The holster is good, with some tears and holes, and the belt is very good. Mechanically very good.
