Blade front and folding ladder rear sight, standard markings on the oil-quenched receiver, blue finished barrel and barrel bands, nitre blue extractor, and bright bolt with knurled cocking piece. Smooth straight grip stock with grasping grooves, "Y" and circled script "P" proof stamped behind the trigger guard, boxed "JSA/1899" inspection cartouche stamped on the left wrist of the attractive figured walnut stock, and a smooth, blue steel buttplate. Includes three-piece cleaning rod and oiler in buttstock.

Excellent, retains 95% original blue finish and 90% oil-quenched casehardened finish, 95% fiery niter blue finish on the extractor, bright bolt with some light freckling on the knob, a few small patches of light corrosion, and sharp edges and markings in the metal overall. Stock is also excellent with attractive original raised and figured grains, a few light handling marks, with distinct edges, grasping grooves and stampings. Mechanically excellent.
