This revolver is based on one of the many Lefaucheux designs which dominated the world of pinfire revolvers in the late 19th century. This example appears to be completely unmarked but is of very fine craftsmanship. There are flourishes of finely executed floral scroll engraving on the frame, grip straps, cylinder, barrel, and barrel lug. It is fitted with a tall pinched blade front sight and notch rear sight, both dovetailed on the barrel. The barrel is also fitted with an under rib to which is mounted a fold out spearpoint bayonet/knife, the blade of which measures 5 3/8 inches, and an ejector rod is mounted on the right of the barrel lug. It is fitted with a pair of checkered walnut grips. Includes a checker patterned leather holster.

Very fine, retains 85% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey-brown patina, primarily on handling areas, some scattered light spotting, and crisp engraving. The grips are excellent with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent in double action only. The holster is good with extensive exterior wear.
